Disclaimer for rental objects

The renter shall satisfy himself/herself of the operational safety of the bicycle before the start of the ride and shall notify the lessor of any defects and/or damage. Any repairs that may be necessary must be reported immediately to the Rental Firm. All complaints must be noted in writing on the contract before taking over the (e)-bike.

• The renter is liable for all damages caused by improper and negligent actions. The renter is responsible for the proper parking of the vehicle and for demonstrably securing and locking it in suitable parking spaces.
• All damage beyond normal wear and tear shall be borne by the hirer.
• In the event of theft or loss, proof must be provided that the rented item was locked at the time of loss. The hirer must be able to produce all the locking keys given to him. If proof cannot be provided, the current value of the rental object will be charged (calculation by the lessor). The deductible amounts to 85% of the product value (new price) and is to be borne by the hirer.
• The liability of the lessor for personal injury and damage to property is excluded unless it is due to a gross breach of duty on the part of the lessor. The Hirer’s liability shall also extend to damage costs such as expert’s fees, depreciation or loss of rental income.
• The Hirer acknowledges that the Rental Firm is not liable for accidents or other events during the rental period and confirms that he/she has been extensively trained in the operation of the e-bike.
• In the event of a vehicle breakdown, the Rental Firm is not obliged to organise return transport. Any costs incurred for repatriation must be borne by the renter. Upon request, an emergency breakdown kit will be provided free of charge.
• If the renter extends the rental period in or without consultation with the rental company, the validity of the exclusion of liability is automatically extended by the effective, entire rental period. Upon return of the rental bikes, the remaining debt will be subsequently settled „according to the price list“ of the rental.
• The renter is aware of the valid road traffic regulations, provided that the e-bikes are permitted on public roads, and declares that he/she is authorised to drive the e-bike and is physically and mentally fit to do so.
